In German-speaking Switzerland, Canton Ticino is nicknamed Sonnenstube (sunny room), because of its mild and sunny climate and its numerous locations where to relax and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful landscape.
Accompanying guests of the congress will have the opportunity to register for several tours which will give the opportunity to enjoy different places of this beautiful Canton.
Changes between Delegate and Accompanying Person’s programmes are not permitted. Delegates who wants to join the Accompanying Person Program have to be in possess of a day-ticket. A limited number of Day-tickets for the Accompanying Person Program are available onsite (until we reach the maximum number of participant for the excursions) for CHF 150 (per person/day).
Payment on site. Please be aware that no pre-reservations nor pre-payments of tickets will be accepted.
Registration to the guided tours is possible only after having completed the registration to the congress.

Guided tour of Lugano
Visit of the city and its surroundings. The guides will lead the participants through the main attractions of Lugano, presenting the city, its history and its peculiar architecture.
Lake cruise and visit of fisher village Morcote
Boat cruise with lunch on the boats and visit of the village of Morcote, a typical lakeside village characterised not only by its privileged position on the shores of the lake, but also by its small alleys, ancient homes, and valuable architectural monuments.
Bellinzona, Unesco world Heritage
Bellinzona is the capital of Ticino, renewed for its three castles which are part of UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000. The group of castles is composed of Castelgrande, castle Montebello, and castle Sasso Corbaro.
Mount Generoso and the city of Mendrisio
Mount Generoso is a notorious tourist destination in the southern part of Ticino. The guests will be accompanied to the top of the 1,701 meters high mountain to visit the new Stone Flower, a touristic building designed by the famous architect Mario Botta, which will open in spring 2017. A guided tour of the City of Mendrisio will follow.
Visit of Locarno and Ascona
Locarno and Ascona are two touristic cities situated on the shores of lake Verbano. During the day the participants will have the opportunity of visiting the two cities with their picturesque narrow streets, lovely lakeside and interesting architecture.
